Board and Advisory Services

I have a sound understanding of the governance role, operation, legal duties and functions of Boards through long term involvement in Board activity and by maintaining GAICD accreditation and currency of knowledge through membership of Women on Boards and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In 1996 I was invited to join the Australian Consumers’ Association’s Council (governing body) and served 10 years in this capacity and on the Council’s Finance Committee and Audit Committee.  I was a Council Member at a time of considerable challenge and opportunity as readership of the paper-based media declined and the organisation successfully transitioned into the online environment. On retirement from the Council, I was honoured with Life Membership of ACA in recognition of my services to the organisation and to consumer protection.

Currently I am serving a second term on the Board of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, where I am also a member of the Finance and Audit Committee and looking forward to breathing new life into its re-formed External Relations Committee
